Academic council a) In accordance with the section 14(3) of the act, the members of the Academic Council other than the ex-officio and the members referred in section 14(2) of the Act, shall hold office for a period of one year. b) The registrar shall be ex-officio Secretary of the Academic Council. c) The secretary shall ordinarily give 10days notice along with agenda before each meeting. d) The agenda of the Academic Council shall be prepared by the Secretary in consultation with the Director resident Instruction and placed before the Academic Council with the approval of the Vice Chancellor. e) In case of emergency or special circumstances, the Vice Chancellor may call a meeting of the Academic Council suspending the notice period to the extent he deems fit. Quorum for such emergency meetings shall be 1/3 of the total strength of the members of academic Council. In case such emergency meeting is adjourned for want of quorum , no quorum shall be essential for the next meeting, for transaction of the same business. Academics Activities During the current academic year university has started various academic programmes PG in 10 divisions of FOA & in 14 divisions in FVSc. Ph.D. 10 divisions of FOA & in 6 divisions of FVSc & AH 62 students admitted in BVSc & AH & 29 in B Sc (Agri.) 25 students in various disciplines of MSc (Agri.) & 23 in MVSc 30 research scholars in various disciplines in Ph. D |
