Admission Procedure

UG  & PG

  1.  For Free seats and Self Financing seats (State Domicile)

 

 

 

  1. Entrance Test through SKUAST-Jammu.
  2.  

  3. Entrance Test through ICAR (For Free seats only)
  4. On nomination of inservice candidates through state govt.  (only free seats)

 

  1. For Self Financing seats under NRIs/NRI Sponsored /All India Basis/Wards of Serving Employees Categories

By the University itself on the basis of merit in 10+2 or equivalent examination

 

2.

Ph.D (Agri.) & Ph.D (Vety.)

By the University on the basis of merit in Bachelor and Master Degree Programme in the related field and performance in the counseling/interview.

    

Eligibility Criteria

1.

B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture

10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized statutory Board/University with not less than 50% marks in aggregate for General Category and 40% for Reserved category in the following subjects:

  1. Physics, Chemistry, Biology  (PCB) and English.
  2. Agriculture with Science subjects and English 

2.

B.V.Sc. & AH

10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized statutory Board/University with not less than 50% marks in aggregate for General Category and 40% for Reserved category in the following subjects:
i.Physics, Chemistry, Biology  (PCB) and English.

3.

B.Sc. (Hons.) Biotechnology

10+2  or equivalent examination from a recognized statutory Board /University with not less than 60% marks in aggregate in the following subjects:- 

  1. Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) and English

 

4.

M.Sc.(Agri.) & Allied Sciences

  1. Bachelor’s degree in the  respective/related subjects
  2. 6.00/10.00 or equivalent  OGPA/equivalent percentage(60%) of marks at Bachelor’s degree for General category candidates.
  3. 5.50/10.00 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage(55%) of marks at Bachelor’s degree for Reserved categories. 

5.

M.V.Sc.

  1. Bachelor’s degree in the  respective/related subjects
  2. 6.00/10.00 or equivalent  OGPA/equivalent percentage(60%) of marks at Bachelor’s degree for General category candidates.
  3. 5.50/10.00 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage(55%) of marks at Bachelor’s degree for Reserved categories. 

 6.

Ph.D (Agriculture/Vety.)

  1. Master’s degree in respective/related subjects
  2. 6.50/10.00 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage of Marks at Master’s Degree for General category
  3. 6.00/10.00 or equivalent percentage of marks at Master’s Degree for SC/ST/PH category candidates.

Basic Agriculture/Horticulture Training

  10+2 with Science

Certificate Courses

 Matric
